Intoxic8

< Back to all courses

The INTOXIC8 programme is Pipeline’s education project which is delivered within secondary schools in Thanet and is aimed at helping young people understand the impact of living safe, responsible and healthy lifestyles.

INTOXIC8 was designed to take the youth workers that engage with young people in their communities through the Hang 10 projects into local schools and help young people process what the impact of their day to day choices can have within their communities.

The project goes into each school for one day, and delivers a number of 50 minute sessions over the course of the school day to the children within the Year 9 age group, involving up to ten members of staff. All sessions are delivered at a class level with each class moving around each module throughout the day. This means, dependent on class size, that the project reaches between 150-200 students per day.

The current subjects covered within the programme are:

  • Self Esteem
  • Aspirations
  • Alcohol and Substance Misuse
  • Positive Relationships
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Sexual Health
